Meet The Directors
Bianca was born in Durban and has lived in Kwazulu Natal all her life. She graduated from the University of Natal in 1997 after which she completed her articles and a few years as a qualified attorney at Adams & Adams at their Durban branch. She joined Chamberlain’s Attorneys in 2004, which Lance had started in 1996. Together they successfully grew the firm from a legal start-up to opening branch offices and purchasing their own business premises in 2008. In 2004 and 2006, Bianca successfully qualified as a Conveyancer and Notary Public respectively and headed up these services at Chamberlain’s and now at Larratt Law Inc. The firm joined a large corporate firm in 2012, with Bianca being a director in the litigation department until 2017, when the decision was made to once again become independent and Larratt Law Inc was born in June of that year.
Bianca has extensive experience in High Court litigation; Conveyancing; Notarial Practice and Wills and Trusts. Her passion for the rights of children and families has however, meant that she has practised family law for nearly 20 years. In this respect, she has dealt with domestic and international divorces; child care and custody matters; contact and access matters; child protection and safety matters; international child abduction; adoption; post-divorce disputes; maintenance; domestic violence; cohabitation; universal partnerships; various interdicts to protect assets and persons; estate matters relating to children and surviving spouses. Her notarial qualifications have allowed her to draft and register Antenuptial Contracts and secure assets to enforce monetary settlements in the forms of notarial bonds and pledges. Being a conveyancer means that Bianca can advise on all immovable property issues both within families whether in the divorce setting or any property related litigation and transfer.
Bianca always says “you can’t be a good family lawyer without a sound commercial knowledge” and she is therefore well versed in commercial litigation, wills, trusts, corporate and commercial structures and the various issues which present within and outside of the family law setting. Bianca is a published author, has presented at various conferences and has appeared in the Magistrates’, Family and High Courts. She has also appeared before the National Consumer Tribunal; various Ombudsman tribunals and has conducted matters throughout South Africa and abroad.
